Web Design
Along with programming I also love to design websites. I find it satisfying to watch an entire website come to life after putting work into it. Throughout my college journey I have designed a few websites based on specific topics.
This website was one of the main projects in my Strategic Presentation Methods in Digital Media class. The focus of this blog was to motivate people to go the gym. I also explained the many health benefits of a consistent gym routine.
Programming
My major Information Technology and Informatics allowed me to learn programming in a structured curriculum. These classes helped me develop a passion for it that I never thought I'd have. However many people have an interest in programming but they are intimidated by the steep learning curve. So when I was tasked with creating a passion project for my Leadership in Digital Contexts class, the website below seemed like a great idea. The purpose is to encourage people that may be on the fence with helpful resources for anyone having trouble with coding.
This website was another product of that same Strategic Presentation class. We were assigned numerous interesting topics to blog about like the emergence of digital media and GIMP editing.
The atavist project below is a product from one of my favorite classes in the Digital Communication Information & Media minor; Digital Technology & Disruptive Change. We were given a list of emerging digital technologies and tasked with exploring their impact on society. I chose Artificial Intelligence and explained the major impact it will have on our world.
Graphic Design
I also value the craft of graphic design. By definition graphic design is the process of visual communication and problem-solving through the use of typography, photography and illustration. Specifically, computer generated graphic design is what I enjoy the most.
